| The Mission of the Aging and Adult Services Department is to provide supportive leadership in developing and coordinating community-based partnerships, insuring quality of life while promoting independence and preserving the dignity of older adults and persons with disabilities.

| The key goals of the Aging and Adult Services Department are:

- To provide leadership in addressing issues that relate to older adults.
- To develop community-based systems of care that provide services which support personal independence, and which protect the quality of life of older persons and persons with functional impairments.
- To promote citizen involvement in the planning and delivery of services.
