Kern County Animal Control
is pleased to have the opportunity to work with your Rescue association.
We will endeavor to contact your association when we have animals
that are deemed not adoptable to a home. Our animals
are posted on PetHarbor.com. Should you see an animal in which you are interested, please call our rescue coordinator.
We are comforted that with the time, care and love that your organization
can provide to these animals, they will become adoptable and find
permanent, loving homes.
In order for Kern County Animal Control to have a formal, long
term relationship with your Rescue association, we ask that you
please download and complete the “Adoption
Partnership Application”, the “Rescue
Agreement”, and the "Rescue
Organization Policy".
Please sign two originals of the Agreement and send both originals;
please send one completed Application. Send the documents to Kern
County Animal Control, 201 S. Mt. Vernon, Bakersfield, CA 93307,
Attn: Cheri Carlton. We will mail back one fully executed original
Agreement for your records.
I am happy to inform you that we have one Animal Care Worker dedicated
to working with the Rescue groups. Cheri Carlton is ready to answer
any questions you may have over the phone; and, when you visit our
facility, she will be here to assist you, especially on Wednesdays
and Saturdays. She can be reached at 661-868-7143. I am also available
to assist and can be reached at 661-862-8805.
Kern County Animal Control looks forward to a long partnership
and the placement of many more animals into loving homes as a
result of our collaboration.
Sincerely,
