Congressman Kevin McCarthy, Supervisor Jon McQuiston, East Kern Airport District (EAKD) General Manager Stu Witt and EAKD Director Dick Rutan were on hand during the Intermediate Space Challenge at the Mojave Spaceport. Elementary and junior high school students from Mojave and California City participated by building and launching rockets, some of which went as high as 600 feet. |
