| Legal Authority: |
Adult Day Health Care Board functions are required
for Adult Day Health Care programs in Article 4, Section 1585 of the California
Health and Safety Code. Kern Medical Center's Application for Licensure
for an Adult Day Care Center of September 13, 1994 further identified membership
and functions (Board of Supervisors Minute Order Number 21, File Number
9921). |
| Membership Qualifications: |
Ten members appointed by Board of Supervisor;
two appointed by each member of the Board of Supervisors. Recommendations
for membership shall be made by the Kern County Aging and Adult Services Department. The
Chief Executive Officer or designee of Kern Medical Center, the Director
of the Kern County Aging and Adult Services Department, and a representative of the County
Administrative Office shall serve as non-voting ex-officio members. |
| Term: |
Two-year term. |
| Duties: |
The Adult Day Health Care Board shall: (1) Serve
as an advisory body to the Chief Executive Officer or designee of Kern
Medical Center regarding all issues related to Kern Medical Center's administration
of Adult Day Health Care services in Kern County, (2) Be responsible for
the dispersal of funds in Adult Day Health Care Trust Fund, (3) Review
all budgets, and (4) Be consulted regarding all major programmatic issues. |
| Meeting Place and Time: |
This Board shall meet at least six (6) times
a year. The Chief Executive Officer or designee of Kern Medical Center
shall be responsible for setting the agenda, calling the meetings, and
arranging for minutes of Committee meetings to be taken. |
