Established by Board of Supervisors Minute Order dated June 27, 1989. Minute
Order of May 29, 1990, replaced General Services Director with Public Works Director.
Minute Order of April 28, 1992, replaced Public Works Department with General Services Director and Resource
Management Agency Director. Minute Order of January 11, 1994 dissolved the formal committee. Minute
Order of March 21, 1995, reinstituted the County's formal Debt Service Advisory Committee. |
| Membership Qualifications: |
The Debt Service Advisory Committee shall consist of six (6) members: Treasurer-Tax Collector, Auditor-Controller/County Clerk, Resource Management Agency Director,
Community and Economic Development Department Director, County Administrative Officer
and County Counsel, or their designated representatives. |
| Term: |
To serve at the pleasure of the Board of Supervisors. |
| Duties: |
The Committee shall: (a) review and revise existing County debt
policies, b) review all conduit and land-based financing requests,
and c) make appropriate recommendations to the Board. The
Committee's role may vary depending upon the purpose of the
issuance as more particularly described in the County of Kern
Debt Financing Policies. |
| Meeting Place and Time: |
Regular meetings of the Committee shall be held on the third
Thursday of each month at 2:30 p.m. in the 3rd Floor,
Multi-Purpose Room of the County Administration Building
