Established by Board of Supervisors Resolution of December 21, 1955,
pursuant to Section 8551 of the Public Resources Code. |
| Membership Qualifications: |
Six members appointed by Board of Supervisors: Five members selected
from candidates recommended by election by lessees of land under Taylor
Grazing Act, and one member appointed to represent interest of wildlife
conservation. |
| Term: |
Three-year staggered term. |
| Duties: |
The Grazing Advisory Board for the County of Kern shall recommend to
the Board of Supervisors plans or projects of range development and predator
control for which money derived from leases under Section 15 of the Taylor
Grazing Act is to be expended. |
| Meeting Place and Time: |
Farm & Home Advisor's Office

Twice a year and at call of the chairman. |
| Compensation: |
Members shall serve without compensation but necessary expenses incurred in connection with meetings shall be allowed and paid. |
| Ethics Training: |
Pursuant to State law, on or after January 1, 2006, any person newly appointed shall successfully complete a course
in ethics training approved by the Fair political Practices Commission and Attorney General. Each
member is required to complete this training every two years. |
