Membership Qualifications: Five members: Two of whom are appointed by the Mayor of the City of Taft; two of whom are appointed by the County Supervisor in whose district the Authority is located (S.D. 4); and one public member appointed by majority vote of the appointed members of the board. All members of the Board shall be registered voters residing within the boundaries of the Authority (defined in Exhibit A of Agreement 077-98). Term: Appointed members shall serve at the pleasure of the appointing official. The Public Member shall serve a four-year term from the date of the appointment. Duties: The Authority shall have the common power of the parties hereto to establish and administer an economic growth and development program. Meeting Place and Time: At least one regular meeting shall be held each year. The date, hour and place of holding regular meetings shall be fixed by resolution of the Authority and a copy of such resolution shall be filed with both the City and the County. Compensation: None.
