Established by Board of Supervisors Minute Order dated October 31,
1995,as required by Government Code Section 27131. Minute Order of 11/21/95,
enacted Ordinance G-6263 establishing qualifications and continuing education
requirements for the Kern County Treasurer-Tax Collector as provided by
SB 866; term of the Special District member was revised from two year,
to four year pursuant to Board action on 2/1/2000. |
| Membership Qualifications: |
The Treasury Oversight Committee shall consist of eleven (11) members:
Treasurer-Tax Collector, Auditor-Controller/County Clerk, Board of Supervisors'
Representative; County Superintendent of Schools; County School Boards'
Representative; County Special Districts' Representative and five (5) Public
Member(s). |

Elected officials to serve by virtue of office; Special District Representative
(4-year term); and Public Members (3-year term). |
| Duties: |
The purpose of the Treasury Oversight Committee (TOC) is to review
and monitor the Kern County Pooled Treasury Investment Policy and contract
for an annual investment program compliance audit. |
| Meeting Place and Time: |
Regular meetings of the Committee will be held quarterly on the 2nd
Thursday of the second month of the quarter at County Administrative Center
Building, Third Floor, All-Purpose Room, 1115 Truxtun Avenue, Bakersfield,
California. |
