Established as Wasco Public Recreation District by Board of Supervisors
Resolution of January 29, 1948. Reorganized as Wasco Recreation and Park
District by Board of Supervisors Resolution of January 26, 1960, pursuant
to Section 5780, et seq. of the Public Resources Code. By Minute Order
of January 2, 1990, Resolution 90-015 change in method of selection and
number of members on the Board of Directors. |
| Membership Qualifications: |
Five members; two members appointed by the Board of Supervisors and
three members appointed by the Mayor of the City of Wasco. |
| Term: |
Four-year staggered term. |
| Duties: |
To organize, promote, conduct and advertise programs of community recreation;
establish systems of recreation and recreation centers, including parks
and parkways, and to acquire, construct, improve, maintain and operate
recreation centers within or without the territorial limits of the public
authority. |
| Meeting Place and Time: |
Board meets the third Thursday of each month at 1280 Poplar Street, Wasco at 7:00 P.M. |
