They are responsible for providing cost estimating, design, inspection and administrative support services for capital and major maintenance projects for the County; however, privately funded projects proposed for construction in the County are not directed by Construction Services. With a highly qualified group of engineers, architects and support staff, Construction Services endeavors to provide the departments and taxpayers of Kern County with the highest level of professional design and construction support at the most affordable cost possible. Construction Services experience with construction activities governed by public works statutes and prevailing wage guidelines is extensive.
