Overview

Kern Government Television (KGOV-TV) is a local cable television station owned and operated by the County of Kern that broadcasts important government-related information, including:
  • The Kern County Board of Supervisors meetings are:
    • Broadcast live during the Tuesday meeting sessions at 9 a.m. and 2 p.m.
    • Re-broadcast 2 times later in the week

  • Planning Commission meetings are:
    • Broadcast live the second and fourth Thursdays of each month at 7 p.m.
    • Re-broadcast every Monday afternoon at 2 pm

  • Election results are broadcast real-time as soon as the election has ended
  • Announcements of County department events
