Who pays for all this?

Local cable companies pay annual franchise fees to the County. Cox and Bright House continue to support the station through the use of their fiber optic transmission system.

What are the benefits to having KGOV?

With the ability to view local government meetings from their homes via television or from their PC (KGOV-Live), the public has easier access to hear what local government is discussing thus keeping Kern County residents more informed of governmental issues and decision making.
