Warnings/Regulations/Restrictions:
  • The Kern River's swift current claims lives every year. Children and teenagers need vigilant supervision; therefore all groups are responsible for providing an adequate number of chaperones for safety and crowd control.
  • Parents are responsible for returning the site to its prior condition by cleaning off all leavings, debris, and posters from tables, lawns, walls and the parking lot.
  • Since park personnel may be working in the area as an ongoing part of their duties at the same time that an event is in progress, cooperation is necessary for the sake of the overall park maintenance schedule.
  • Use of fire rings and barbecue pits does not require a Fire Permit, but it does require an adequate supply of firewood because none is provided and all cutting of vegetation within the park is prohibited.
