- General Location: Approximately 3 miles southeast of Delano, CA (population 31,450), and approximately 30 miles north of Bakersfield. Lake Woollomes is easy to reach from either the north or southbound lanes of Route 99. Just south of Delano, signs from the Pond Road - Lake Woollomes Exit lead to the lake.

- All pets must stay on a leash for the sake of other park visitors.
- All fires must be lit only in the designated barbecue grills. Visitors must bring their own fuel because no cutting or use of
park vegetation is permitted.
- The discharge of all firearms or weapons, including bows and arrows, spears, BB guns, pellet guns and sling shots, is
prohibited.
- Depositing trash in waste receptacles and cleaning off tables properly will preserve public health and keep the park pristine.
- Swimming is at one's own risk. NO LIFEGUARDS are on duty. Children, in particular, need vigilant supervision.

- A maximum of 400 vehicles is allowed in the park from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm on Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays between March 1 and
September 15.
- No camping allowed - no camping facilities.

- Boats are limited to sailboats, rowboats and canoes; no power boats, motorboats or motorized personal watercraft are allowed.
- All-County Lake Permit Required
- All boats must have an authorized capacity stated on a capacity tag.
- Sailboats 8 feet or longer need a CA registration number.
- All boats must enter and leave the lake at the boat launching ramp.

Owned by the Bureau of Reclamation and leased by the Kern County Parks Department, Lake Woollomes is an equalizing reservoir for the Friant-Kern Canal, which is used for irrigation of the surrounding fields. The waters attract
as many ducks, geese and other waterfowl as people. The surrounding area includes almond groves and grape vineyards.

| The entire Lake Woollomes Park occupies 455 acres, the lake with its four mile shoreline covering 300 of those acres.
