Meets the third Wednesday of the month at 6:00 p.m. at the First Floor Public Meeting Room of the Kern County Public Services Building, 2700 M Street, Bakersfield, California.

It serves in an advisory capacity to the Board of Supervisors and Animal Control staff and serves as a hearing body to hear appeals of specified actions taken by Animal Control staff.

The authority and structure of the Animal Control Commission are established by Kern County Ordinance Code Chapter 2.150.
