Assembly Bill 1785 (Pacheco) modified existing law, prohibiting a state or local agency from publicly posting online certain personal information of any elected or appointed official without first obtaining written permission of from official, to also prohibit the posting of the name and assessor parcel number associated with the home address.

For this reason, the Kern County Recorder has elected to remove the functionality to search our General Index by APN and has removed all APN information associated with recorded documents.
