National Crime Victims’ Rights Week

Event Happening Later This Year

After much consideration, we have decided to move the Victims’ Rights March to later this year, rather than holding it during our traditional April timeframe. As many of you know, our office has been working on the completion of a Victims’ Memorial, a powerful tribute to those whose lives have been lost to homicide in Kern County.

What can you expect?

  • We will provide ample notice when announcing the event date later in the year, so please stay tuned for updates via email or by following our social media pages.
  • The memorial will feature an ossuary, containing the names of every single homicide victim in Kern County. Know that the memory of your loved one will never be forgotten.
  • Throughout National Victims’ Rights Week, from April 6-12, we encourage the community to access valuable resources and information through our District Attorney's Office and Kern County Family Justice Center social media channels. Linked below:

This will be the most significant event yet. We hope to see you later in the year!
