The 2026 State of the County address will be held on Wednesday, January 28, 2026, at 3:00 p.m. in the Kern County Board of Supervisors Chambers at 1115 Truxtun Avenue, Bakersfield. The annual event is open to the public and highlights the County's accomplishments, priorities, and vision for the future.

The State of the County address is delivered by the new Chairman of the Board, District 1 Supervisor Phillip Peters, and is a free event and open to the public. The address will also be livestreamed on Kern Government Television and the County's YouTube channel. Please be advised, this event is not a public meeting and there will not be an opportunity for public comment.
