The Kern County Board of Supervisors met today as scheduled for Tuesday’s June 30, 2026, Budget Hearings. Chairman Phillip Peters (District 1), Supervisor Jeff Flores (District 3), Supervisor David Couch (District 4), and Supervisor Leticia Perez (District 5) were in attendance. Item No. 3:

Kern County Public Health presented a report in response to June 16, 2026, Board referral regarding public health inspections at immigration detention facilities. The Board received and filed the report.

Fiscal Year 2026-2027 Recommended Budget Hearings

The Board heard opening remarks on the Fiscal Year 2026-2027 Recommended Budget. After the presentation, a public hearing was held. The Board then closed the public hearing and adopted the Resolution approving the Fiscal Year 2026-2027 Budgets.
