Sal Moretti is a retired City of Bakersfield Superintendent, a veteran (Captain, USAF), with a B.S. in Business Administration from the University of Missouri, Saint Louis. Currently, he is Co-Chair of the Kern County Homeless Collaborative and also writes regularly for the Bakersfield Californian.
Isabel Zamora is a graduate of CSU Bakersfield, with a B.S. in Business Administration, concentration in Management.
She brings experience from working as a Constituent Service Representative for Supervisor Ray Watson and more recently, assisting families with adoptions at Kern County Department of Human Services.
Isabel is fluent in Spanish and assists constituents at both the Bakersfield and Lamont District 4 offices. She also spends time interacting with other district representatives, community leaders and constituents at grand openings, award ceremonies, community meetings and events.
Isabel enjoys working with Supervisor David Couch and serving District 4 constituents. She grew up in the Lamont community and attended the local schools, including Arvin High. She aims to use her knowledge of these communities to help bridge Lamont & Arvin constituents to their District 4 Supervisor and raise awareness of county services. Isabel looks forward to enriching the lives of all constituents in District 4, by assisting with county concerns and issues and facilitating access to community resources.
Zachary Wakefield is a current CSU Bakersfield undergraduate student and is pursuing a degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Agriculture Business.
He brings experience from working as an Intern for California State Senator, Andy Vidak for the past two years. He interacts with his district representatives and is very active within the community, from attending award ceremonies, grand openings, and tabling, to advocating on the constituents behalf. He plans to share his wealth of experience and knowledge to Team Couch.
Zachary has spent 22 years of life in the central valley and hopes to continue serving his communities to advocate on their behalf and make District 4 an area for everyone to thrive in.
Art has been a city councilmember, city Mayor, served on the Kern Economic Opportunities Commission, chaired the redevelopment Agency, and been on the Kern County Council and Government. Art served on St. Mary’s School Board of Trustees, Delano Joint Union High School District’s Board of Trustees, Bakersfield College Delano Campus Advisory Board, and Kern County Superintendent Advisory Council. He is currently Delano Joint Union High School District Board of Trustee, Board Member of the State-Wide Latino School Board Association, Board member of the Delano Mosquito Abatement District.
Art also devotes a great deal of time to volunteer organizations. He has been a member of the Community Alliance since 1992. He been active in the Delano Babe Ruth Association and has served as president for several year. He is a member of the Knights of Columbus.
Steven Kemp is a CSU Bakerfield undergraduate student pursuing a degree in Public Administration. In the future, he will utilize his degree working as a Legislative Director for the California State Legislature or Policy Analysis for Kern County Administrative Office. Originally from Simi Valley, Steven began his participation in public service working as a Case Manager's Assistant for a nonprofit organization the Samaritan Center. For two years, he guided homeless individuals to self sufficiency though case management that involved connecting transients to local mental health services and supportive housing. He enjoys interacting with constituents and helping navigate their concerns through the proper channels of county government. Steven's ultimate goal is to advocate for policies that improve homelessness and public safety in Kern County.
Chase Hagenbuch is a current Santa Clara University undergraduate student pursuing degrees in both Business Management and Psychology. She hails from Salinas, California but would frequently visit her grandparents in Bakersfield throughout her childhood. Chase brings a new outsider’s perspective to Team Couch and hopes to serve the people in District 4 to the best of her ability.
