SUPERVISOR PETERSON HEARD REGARDING HIGHWAYS 46, 126, AND 119 AND THE NEED TO PRIORITIZE AND GET INVOLVED IN THE SAFETY OF ALL HIGHWAYS, AND REQUESTED THE CAO FORMULATE A LETTER TO APPROPRIATE ENTITIES REQUESTING ASSISTANCE IN GETTING ALL HIGHWAYS REPAIRED.


SUPERVISOR PEREZ DISCUSSED THE RESERVES HELD BY CALTRANS TO USE FOR HIGHWAY PROJECTS AND THE POLITICAL ASPECTS OF HOW AND WHEN THIS MONEY IS UTILIZED.


SUPERVISOR PEREZ ANNOUNCED THAT HE WOULD BE OUT OF THE COUNTY FROM AUGUST 30, 1999 THROUGH SEPTEMBER 1, 1999 ATTENDING A TRIAL COURT TASK FORCE MEETING.
