The Fiscal Year 2017-18 Recommended Budget for the County of Kern is now available.   View Budget Highlights
The County will hold a special evening meeting for public comment on Monday, August 28 at 6 p.m. in the Board Chambers of the County Administrative Center at 1115 Truxtun Avenue, Bakersfield, CA 93301. Budget hearings will be held on Tuesday, August 29 at 9 a.m. at the same location.

Senate Bill 272

Requires local agencies to create and post a catalog of multidepartmental systems or systems containing information about the public that store original records.

Implements and enforces policies and procedures that ensure county operations are in compliance with government laws and regulations, county ordinance codes, and departmental procedures. Includes a reporting procedure for allegations of fraud, waste and abuse.
