Kern County ADA Transition Plan (approved 12/9/2025) 

Under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), the County is required to ensure facilities and public rights‐of‐way are accessible to persons with disabilities.  Part of these requirements include regularly conducting a “Self-Assessment” to produce a “Transition Plan” document that will identify existing obstacles limiting accessibility and describe steps that are to be taken to improve access for all individuals.  Kern County is currently working on a Self-Assessment to update our ADA Transition Plan document.
