Program Overview

The County of Kern – Economic Development Division, in partnership with Project Development Solutions, Inc., is proud to announce the latest round of the Kern Biz Façade Improvement Grant Program. Kern Biz provides one-time, competitive grants of up to $10,000 to support small businesses and property owners in unincorporated commercial corridors. The program encourages investment in storefront improvements, enhances property safety, and contributes to the overall appeal and vitality of local business districts.

Through this round of Kern Biz funding, 23 local businesses will receive grants to complete exterior façade upgrades and site and security improvements that strengthen the look, feel, and safety of our community spaces.

Future Funding Opportunities

The County of Kern extends its appreciation to all businesses that applied to the Kern Biz Façade Improvement Grant Program. While not all applicants were selected for this round, we encourage interested business owners to stay connected and watch for future funding opportunities through Kern County’s Economic Development webpage.
