Buena Vista Campground - Fee Schedule

Camping Reservation Fees

  • Registration/Reservation Fee, Non-Refundable: $8.00/Per Campsite
  • Reservation Change/Transfer Fee, Non-Refundable: $7.00/Per Change or Transfer, per Campsite
  • Reservation Cancellation Fee: $30.00/Per Campsite

Campsite Fees

Campsites with utility hookups have one 30A and 50A plug-in per campsite. (Only one recreational vehicle may be hooked up to the utilities at a time. No spider boxes or trailer to trailer hookup allowed.)

  • Overnight Extra Vehicle Parking: $7.00/Night
  • Dogs - Limit 2 Dogs Per Motor Vehicle: $5.00 Per Dog/Day
    • (Guide & Service Dogs exempt)

Peak Season: March 15-October 15

  • Non-Waterfront Campsite – No Utilities: $28.00/Night
  • Waterfront Campsite – No Utilities: $34.00/Night
  • Non-Waterfront Campsite With Utilities: $36.00/Night
  • Waterfront Campsite With Utilities: $40.00/Night
  • Campsite in Overflow Camping Areas, One Motor Vehicle: $10.00/Night
  • Second Motor Vehicle, Overnight: $15.00/Night

Non-Peak Season: October 16-March 14

  • Non-Waterfront Campsite – No Utilities: $16.00/Night
  • Waterfront Campsite – No Utilities: $20.00/Night
  • Non-Waterfront Campsite With Utilities: $24.00/Night
  • Waterfront Campsite With Utilities: $25.00/Night
  • Campsite in Overflow Camping Areas-one Motor Vehicle: $6.00/Night
  • Second Motor Vehicle, Overnight: $12.00/Night

Discounts

Please contact the Parks Administration office to set up your Senior Citizen, Disabled Citizen, or Disabled Veterans account, and/or to obtain a Disabled Veterans Lifetime Camping Pass.

Disabled Veterans may present their Veteran’s ID Card or Letter from the Local or Federal VA Department showing “Service Connected” status, and another matching form of ID, to purchase the Lifetime Camping Pass or to receive the discounted rate for a reserved campsite. The pass entitles the holder to a first come, first serve campsite “free of charge”, or to reserve a campsite at the rate of $15.00/per night.

  • Senior (age 62+) and Disabled Citizen Discount: $2.00 Discount/Per Campsite
  • Disabled Veterans & Former POWs Lifetime Camping Pass: $10.00
  • Disabled Veteran’s Discount - Campsite Reservation: $15.00/Night

Group Camping

  • Group Reservation Fee: $8.00/Per Campsite
  • Non-Peak Season Only – Groups * Occupying 10 or More Campsites: 10% Discount on Camping Fees

* Groups of campers are defined as persons on a list provided by a group representative. The total discounted group fees shall be paid at the time the first member of the group enters the facility or before.

  • Daily Entry, Each Motor Vehicle, 21+ Persons: $12.00/Day
  • Persons Entering by Other Means: $2.00 per Person/Day
  • Annual Entry Permit: $100.00/Year
  • Senior Citizen’s Annual Entry Permit (age 62+): $30.00/Year
  • Dogs - Limit 2 Dogs per Motor Vehicle: $5.00 per Dog/Day
    • (Guide & Service Dogs Exempt)

Day Use Boating Fees – Lake Webb and Lake Evans

  • Daily Fee: $7.00/Day
  • Daily Fee with Kern County All Lakes Annual Boat Permit: No Charge
  • Dealers with Kern County Dealer’s Lake Permit: No Charge

Boat Permit Fees

  • Annual Boat Permit – All Lakes - Motorized: $60.00/Year
  • Annual Boat Permit – All Lakes - Non-Motorized: $30.00/Year
  • Upgrade * to All Lakes Annual Permit: $25.00
    • * For individuals who have already purchased a Lake Isabella Only Permit and want to upgrade to an All Lakes Annual Permit

Fishing Fees - Trout Fishing Season

(November Through April – Lake Evans Only)

  • Adults: $6.00 Each
  • Children (15 Years & Younger): $1.00 Each
  • On the Two State of California “Free Fishing” Days Per Year, for Those With Fishing Poles in Their Possession: No Entry Fee

Buena Vista Group Picnic Areas - Fee Schedule

(per Ordinance G-8679, dated January 10, 2017)

Group Picnic Areas are available by reservation only.

To make a reservation, please complete and submit the application to parksreservations@kerncounty.com or by calling the Parks Reservations office at (661) 868-7000.

Please note: Fees do not include motor vehicle entry fees.

  • Reservation Fee, Non-Refundable: $8.00 Per Reservation
  • Reservation Change/Transfer Fee, Non-Refundable: $7.00 per Change or Transfer, per Reservation
  • Reservation Cancellation Fee: $30.00 Per Cancellation
  • Sound Permit Fee: $25.00
  • Small Group Picnic Area (100 Person Capacity)
    • $40.00/Day
    • $70.00/Day with Power
  • Large Group Picnic Area (400 Person Capacity): $100.00/Day
    • Security Deposit * (Refundable): $500.00 Per Reservation

* Note: Groups, organizations and individuals who have previously used these facilities may petition the Director for a full or partial waiver of the security deposit. The Director will base his decision on the previous cleanup effort of those particular groups, organizations or individuals who have had use of these park facilities.
